Try to imagine a bird'ss nest, it made of twigs, straw, and some other tiny parts. Think about the dire necessity a bird has to face: a little beak, no arms, and not much strength. Yet, regardless of her smallness, it manages to construct a nest for herself and her family to last a lifetime.

What is the secret? Determination and focused repetitive behavior composed of many trips to find, gather and bring the needed building stuff to the nest's location. Uninteresting and boring? Maybe. Successful, effective and practical? Naturally!

Meditation can be compared to a bird's effort to build a nest. Meditating every day has many benefits. Many of these benefits are related to the decrease in stress that occurs through meditation. Through meditation, we increasingly improve our powers of concentration; this focus can be used for any activities we participate in. So, through meditation we can bring our own mind under control. This creates peace of mind and enables us to achieve what we want to.
